SOCIAL WEEK AT THE CLARETIAN ACADEMY EWU-OWA, IKORODU, LAGOS

Claretian Academy, Ewu-Owa, Ikorodu, Lagos. The Claretian Academy Schools concluded her mid-term academic/social week. Thereafter, the school embarked on a mid-term break which took place between the 19th and 24th of February, 2024. The breather was necessary before resumption for normal academic activities.

Accordingly, the Academy, comprising Kindergarten, Nursery, Basic and Secondary schools were engaged in a series of activities such as a field trip by the science department to Egbin power generation company within the Ikorodu area of Lagos. There, they were taken round the various departments and were shown how electric power is generated. Other activities during this time included sporting events like the track and field and soccer.

The social week climaxed with a cultural exhibition. The day witnessed displays of our rich Nigerian cultural diversity wherein the Igbo, Efik, Yoruba, Benin cultures etc., were colourfully showcased. In their beautiful attires, the students used different dances, assorted gastronomies amidst other exhibitions to delight parents and teachers.

Various prizes were won by participating individual students and the houses:

– Fr. Christian Ihedoro House
