Amongst those who witnessed the First and Perpetual Vows of our Claretian scholasticates were the Prefect of Apostolate of the Independent Delegation of Cameron, VRFr. Conrad Atangana CMF; with VRFr. Rowland Onuekwusi CMF, and VRFr. JohnPaul Achi CMF. (respectively the Prefects of Formation and Econome of Delegation West Nigeria).
The homilist of the day was Rev. Fr. Gabriel Wada, CMF. He centred his sermon on the need for the missionary to live a life of evangelical obedience and, like Mary, always remain docile to the will of God. The Mass came to an end at exactly 1:16pm, followed by a brief reception.
Prior to their Professions, those who took their First Vows had their one-year canonical Novitiate Experience at the Heart of Mary Novitiate, Utonkon, Benue State, while for the Final Vows the candidate had his two-months Second Novitiate Experience (Tertianship) at the Institute of Consecrated Life in Africa (InCLA), Abuja, all in Nigeria.
We are grateful to God for the success of these great events and ask for the maternal intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Foundress of our beloved Congregation, to grant the newly and perpetually professed the grace to serve God whole-heartedly in his vineyard strictly following in the footsteps of our Holy Father Founder, Padre Anthony Mary Claret.
Immaculate Heart of Mary – Be our Salvation!
St Anthony Mary Claret – Pray for Us!
