InCLA, Abuja, November 5-8, 2025. The Institute for Consecrated Life in Africa (InCLA), Abuja, Nigeria, recently concluded the hosting of the 2nd African Claretians (ACLA) Bible Assembly.
The Assembly, as indicated above, had participants from the various ACLA Organisms. Accordingly, it was purely a programme directed at the Claretians Missionaries actuating with passion in Africa. The theme for the discourse at the encounter was ACLA BIBLICAL MINISTRY IN THE SERVICE OF JUSTICE, PEACE AND HOPE. Hope that is rooted in the Word is essential for building justice and peace in Africa.
While the maiden Assembly investigated the possibilities and prospects of the Bible Ministry, the recent one took a step further by applying the Bible Ministry to aspects of our Pastoral Ministry, such as Children Bible Ministry, Evangelization in the Media, Bible-based conflict resolution in the home, and the use of Artificial Intelligence in Digital Mission, through the hermeneutical keys of justice, peace and hope. It is anticipated that the dreams, designs and action of the ACLA Biblical Ministry would drive the Claretian Mission in Africa to be more rooted in Christ and audacious in her missionary enterprises through effective adaptation and use of the most efficient tools and means of modern communications.
Attendance was as follows:
– Fr Henry Omonisaye, CMF, General Prefect of Bible/Communication
– Fr Rowland Onyenali, CMF, (Moderator) Coordinator of ACLA Bible/Communication
Participants came from the following Organisms within ACLA:
– West Nigeria Delegation
