New Curia, Ajao-Lagos, October 24, 2025. The Feast of our Holy Father Founder, Padre Anthony Mary Claret, was celebrated all over the world on the above date. However, and most particularly, this year, it was celebrated for the first time at the new Delegation West Nigeria Curia inside Ajao Estate, Lagos, Nigeria.
The Major Superior of the Organism, VRFr. Augustine Mab-Segun Medaiyedu-Ambrose, CMF, was the Principal Celebrant at the Eucharist that was well concelebrated. It recorded the presence of five Claretian priests, five students, as well as some friends of the Claretians resident within the area.
In his homily, the Superior emphasised the need for us Claretians to be mindful always of the model of the missionary presented to us by Father Claret. Our only concern should be how to “follow Christ and imitate him in praying, working, enduring and striving constantly and solely for the greater glory of God and the salvation of humankind” (CC. 9). If our heart would be for the whole world like St. Anthony Claret’s, then we must daily draw strength from God, to whom the earth and its fullness, as well as the world and its peoples belong (cf. Ps. 24:1).
We must note with joy that the new beautiful Curia of the Claretian Missionaries, Delegation West Nigeria, was officially inaugurated on June 19, 2025, in the presence of the members of the Curia Community.
