DELEGATION WEST NIGERIA GIVES BIRTH TO FOUR NEW PRIESTS

Claret House of Theology, Ibadan, July 4, 2026. It was a day of immense joy and gratitude to God as the Claretian Missionaries, Delegation West Nigeria congregated at Elerumoke, Claret House of Theology in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, accompanied by friends and the Claretian Family members, to witness the Priestly Ordination of her four deacons:

Revd ADJERHORE Solomon, CMF
Revd DUNG Alexander, CMF
Revd EGUNJOBI Anthony, CMF, and
Revd JOB Felix, CMF

The Ordaining Prelate was Most Revd John Akinkunmi Oyejola, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Osogbo. The Emeritus Archbishop of Ibadan Archdiocese, Most Revd Felix Alaba Job (a great grand uncle to one of the newly ordained) was also present to grace the occasion. Physically available at the event were VRFr. Augustine Mab-Segun Medaiyedu-Ambrose, CMF, the Major Superior of the Nigerian Claretian Missionaries, West Delegation, and members of the Delegation Council. Also gathered amongst the many Claretian confreres around included Priests from the Dioceses of Oyo, Ijebu-Ode and the Archdiocese of Ibadan. Many Religious Persons from different Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life were present to share the joy of the birth of new Claretian Priests.

In the Homily, the Ordaining Prelate, Bishop Oyejola, encouraged the four ordinands to take advantage of the gift of brotherhood in the Religious Life and maintain their spiritual passion, purpose, and drive to serve God and humanity. This attitude will help them keep intact the initial apostolic and missionary spark. He also admonished their parents, relatives and friends to always motivate them with words that will always uplift their soul, heart and mind, while supporting them in every way possible as they dedicate their lives unreservedly to the work of the Lord in the footsteps of their Holy Father Founder, St Anthony Mary Claret.
