Claret House of Theology, Ibadan, January 31, 2019. On this very date, at the Delegation West Nigeria’s Claret House of Theology, Elerumoke, Ibadan, Oyo State, some of our students were installed into the ministries of Acolyte and Lector (respectively, offices to serve and proclaim the Word of God at the altar of liturgical celebrations).

However, something very remarkable about the event was that those elevated were from different Organisms in Africa. It was a miniature presence of the African mission of the Claretian Congregation.
Accordingly, the Major Superior of the West Nigeria Delegation, Very Rev. Fr. Daniel Mary Onyeayana, Cmf officiated at the occasion that took place within the Eucharistic meal and duly witnessed by the Claretian formators of the Institute: Frs Francis Ofoegbu, Francis Ilonwa and Augustine Amadi.
In his homily, the Superior encouraged the brothers to take St. Don BOSCO as their model in their quest to serve in varied capacities in the house of God. He
encouraged them to be dedicated to their offices and always be prepared for the Sacred Liturgy. These offices are by definition Services – called to serve and not to be served (Mark 10:45).
Finally, he congratulated the newly installed ministers for taking another step towards their priestly vocation and prayed God to keep them faithful in His vineyard.

I am very happy for CMF
God bless you brothers as you move on with your vocation. It’s a precious gift. God loves you.
