Lagos, Nigeria. The life of every Claretian borders on carrying out the Claretian mission with a sense of alertness to whatever is most urgent, opportune and effective. In that Spirit we have some of our hardworking brothers who decided to allow the Spirit of Claret to minister through them to some military and Police parastatals – we have Rev. Fr. (Major) Luke Beba CMF in the Nigerian Army and Rev. Fr. (ASP) Emmanuel Ogbuefi CMF in the Nigerian Police Force.
While we continue to thank God for the Claretian Family, we congratulate and rejoice with Rev. Fr. Major Luke Beba CMF, who was promoted to that rank. Coincidentally and more divinely willed, the decoration ceremony took place on the 24th of October 2016, the Feast of St. Anthony Mary Claret. The entire Claretian Family gathered to celebrate this day with the Mass, which took place at St. Theresa’s Catholic Chaplaincy, Bonny Camp, Victoria, Lagos. That is the Chaplaincy of the newest Major.

In attendance were 8 Claretian priests, 12 other priests and religious working in Lagos and its environs, Claretian friends and families etc.
After the Mass, at the reception ground, the Major Superior, Very Rev. Fr. Daniel Onyeayana, cmf assisted the Rev Fr Director of the Directorate of Chaplain Services, Nigerian Armed Forces, Very Rev. Fr. Col Charles Iroegbu and some top military officers to decorate Fr. Luke with his new promoted rank.
