Rome, 23 July 2021. Very Rev Fr Henry Omonisaye CMF – General Consultor of our Congregation – has been appointed by Pope Francis as the FIRST (and ONLY) AFRICAN member of the Board of Directors of the AVEPRO Agency (http://www.avepro.glauco.it/avepro/english/00000282_Who_we_are.html) for five years. This Agency of the Holy See for the Evaluation and Promotion of the Quality of Universities and Ecclesiastical Faculties was founded by Pope Benedict XVI on 19 September 2007 and is an institution linked to the Holy See in accordance with articles 186 and 190-191 of the Apostolic Constitution Pastor Bonus. The role of the Agency is to promote and develop a culture of quality within the academic institutions directly dependent on the Holy See and to ensure the validity of its quality criteria on an international scale. We thank Pope Francis for the confidence he has placed in Henry Omonisaye’s abilities and qualities. And we hope that this too will be a congregational service to the Church.
Remember, as said earlier, that Fr Henry is a General Consultor of the Congregation of Missionaries Sons of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in brief, Claretian Missionaries. He was elected into Government in 2015.
The humble but extraordinarily illustrious priest was a Major Superior of the Claretian Missionaries, West Nigeria Delegation.
We wish him joy in the service of the Church and humanity.
