FR SIMEON NWOBI, CMF, ELECTED NEW PRESIDENT OF CMSN (MEN)

Thursday, January 17, 2019 – Abuja. VR Fr Simeon Nwobi, cmf, was on this day elected President of the CONFERENCE OF MAJOR SUPERIORS OF NIGERIA-MEN (CMSN). The event took place in an elective Assembly held in Abuja, Capital of Nigeria.

Fr Simeon is the incumbent Provincial Superior of the Claretian Missionaries, East Nigeria Province. He is about the fourth Nigerian Claretian Superiors to occupy that elevated, but spiritually humble position that puts him in direct mutual collaboration with the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) being, de facto, one of the two representatives of all the male and female Institutes of Consecrated Life in Nigeria.

For the welfare of history, the East Nigeria Province was the Nigerian Province of the Claretian Congregation until it gave birth to the Independent Delegation of West Nigeria with VR Fr Daniel Onyeayana, cmf as the present Major Superior.

The CMSN also unanimously returned Fr Daniel as the Public Relations Officer.

Let us, therefore, join hands in prayers for Frs Simeon, Daniel and other elected officers of the CMSN that the spirit of the Lord may repose on them as they carry out the challenging leadership tasks on behalf of the Religious in Nigeria.

CONGRATULATIONS TO FRS SIMEON AND DANIEL!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CMSN!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL RELIGIOUS PERSONS IN NIGERIA!
