INTERNATIONAL AND NATIONAL ACTIVITIES OF THE WEEK: ENGAGING THE CLARETIANS

USING EVERY MEANS POSSIBLE…

The Claretian Missionaries are this week (October 8-14) engaged in various notable International and National Fairs and Plenaries.

In Frankfurt, Germany, the Congregation has full representation at the Annual World Book Fair led by the Chairman of the Claret Publishing Group (CPG), the untiring workaholic Fr Alberto Rossa, cmf. VR Fr Henry Omonisaye, whose office is responsible for the communication group, speaks with the Claretian party via the Skype.

Here in Nigeria, the Diocese of Ahiara symbolically hosts the 2nd Elective Plenary of the Arch/Diocesan/Religious Directors of Social Communications of Nigeria. 72 participants (including Editors, Lecturers from CIWA, CSN) were accredited: from Maiduguri and Sokoto Dioceses to Ogoja and Port Harcourt Dioceses. The Claretians of Nigeria has the sole presence of Fr Rebecca Offor-Igirigi, the Communications Director from the Delegation West Nigeria, Lagos. The Assembly was brought to life after the Mass on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 led by Most Rev Dr Lucius I. Ugorji, the Bishop of Umuahia diocese and the Apostolic Administrator of Ahiara diocese. We will soon publish his powerful homily. A must-read for all.

However, the meeting came alive with the prayers and opening remarks by the Bishop Chairman of the Directors, Most Rev Dr Denis C. Isizoh, the Auxiliary Bishop of Onitsha Archdiocese.
