Day 06, Friday, November 03, 2023. The Jubilee celebration gradually reached its apogee on Day 06, Friday, November 03, 2023, with the Jubilee Ordination at St. Anthony Mary Claret Parish, New Owerri by 10am presided by His Grace, Most Rev Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji, Archbishop of Owerri Archdiocese.
Indeed, it was a spirit uplifting part of the events as members of the Nigeria Claretian family gathered to celebrate and welcome into her abode the children who have been newly transformed by the grace of priestly ordination. With immense love of God through the instrumentality of human efforts, the celebration couldn’t have been better, and the 12 candidates: six Ordinandis from the West Nigeria Delegation and six Ordinandis from the East Nigeria Province joyfully expressed their gratitude and commitment to the Congregation at large.

Jubilee Traditional Courtesy Visit to the Ede of Nekede
With VRF Nathaniel Eke, the Provincial Superior of the Claretian Missionaries of East Nigeria Province, our Special Guest of the Jubilee, Fr Vattamattam, paid a special and warm visit to the Royal Palace of Eze Agumanu, the Ede IV of Nekede. The parish Priest of St Paul’s Nekede, Fr Obiora Igwe, is at extreme right, in frock. The Traditional Ruler was highly delighted at the Visit and prayed for the success of the coming events. He was very appreciative of the Claretian presence and missionary undertakings in his ancient kingdom.
The Colloquium
There was a Colloquium where experienced and veteran Missionaries shared their stories and experiences in the trajectory of their Claretian Missionary lives. That was followed by Historical Documentaries and Speeches. After the Vespers, the cultural soiree followed. The sharing continued late into the night.
