Abuja-Nigeria, Thursday, April 28, 2022. The VI West Nigeria Delegation Assembly made a courtesy call to the Archbishop of Abuja, the Most Revd Dr Ignatius Ayau Kaigama at about 1:47pm. Fr. Peter Okonkwo, who works in the Archdiocese, introduced the President of the Assembly, Fr Manuel Tamargo in company of the Assembly members.

The Archbishop, who led in the opening prayers, expressed his joy about the visit and prayed that God grant us the grace to work effectively as Missionaries, especially, in Nigeria and beyond. He also conveyed his sentiment of gratitude for the Claretian presence in the Archdiocese of Abuja.

Fr Tamargo thanked the Prelate for his kindest compliments and offered the Congregation’s collaborative hands for the good of the Metropolitan See.

The newly elected Major Superior, Fr Augustine Medaiyedu, expressed his unalloyed gratitude to the Archbishop for his fatherly support and guide as our Claretian Missionaries minister in the pastoral areas of St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, Kwali and St. Jude’s Catholic Church, Zuba of the Archdiocese. He added that he will visit the Archbishop for further discussions on areas of collaboration in the work of Evangelisation in the Archdiocese.

The Assembly members left the Court before 3:00pm after the Archbishop had blessed and served the visitors with the traditional African hospitality.
